Article and history of detention

He was detained on September 29, 2020, in connection with the case of damage to the car of Alexander Geits, the deputy head of the department for the organization of operational and routine work of the Department of Corrections. Accused according to: Part 2 of Art. 339 of the Criminal Code – hooliganism committed by a group of persons; art. 369 of the Criminal Code - insulting a representative of the authorities; art. 411 of the Criminal Code - malicious disobedience to the requirements of the administration of the correctional institution. Received 3 years of imprisonment in a colony under general regime. During the detention, GUBAZIK officers mocked and severely beat them, threatened to hang them and rape them. When Arciom ended up in the Mogilev IC-15, he was placed in a detention center, beaten and kept with mentally ill prisoners.

After release

Released on May 18, 2023. After his release, he left Belarus on the second day due to threats of re-arrest from police officers. Before his arrest, Arciom worked as a security officer in the Minsk metro. Now Volny has left, lives in Poland and rebuilds his life. During his stay in prison, Artyom had his teeth pulled out instead of treatment. Restoration in Lithuanian dentistry cost €14,000. Funds partially covered this amount, but now another €7,000 is needed.
