Article and history of detention

Dzianis was detained in October 2020 after the "March for the Liberation of Political Prisoners" in Miensk. The court sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony. Before the verdict, Dzianis was in prisons in Miensk and Žodzina, and served his term in the Vitiebsk colony. The boy broke free and fled to Lithuania. To get to the neighboring country, he had to swim across the Nioman.

After release

Now Dzianis lives with his wife and two minor children in Vilnius. They are expecting their third child. Dzianis works at road facilities, but the salary is not enough. The family is in a difficult financial situation and needs financial assistance.
