Article and history of detention

In September 2021, Maryja was detained by GUBAZIK according to Art. 342 part 1. Then the girl spent 4 months in the pre-trial detention center. The court ordered restriction of freedom without sending to an open-type correctional institution. But already on November 8, Maryja was charged with an administrative offense under Art. 19.1 and sent to 13 days of administrative arrest. After that, she was threatened with new days in the intensive care unit. In December 2022, Maryja left Belarus for Poland with her mother and dog to avoid revenge by the regime.

After release

Maryja notes that now she has gained freedom - and this is the most important thing for her. Now she works in Poland as a manicurist, studies at a police academy and takes a course in marketing for those freed from BySol. Maryja says that now she lacks psychological support and help in adaptation after a quick move.
